10th Meeting of the European Hedgehog Research Group
Dear colleagues,
We wish to extend a cordial invitation to you to participate in the 10th Meeting of the European Hedgehog Research Group. The event will take place from Thursday, 16th January to Friday, 17th January 2025 in Berlin, Germany and will be held in English. Registration and abstract submission are open.
Time has passed since the last meeting in Prague and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Berlin next year! Our goal is to bring together researchers and conservationists from all over Europe and everyone who has an interest in hedgehogs. We will discuss all aspects of hedgehog biology, such as ecology, behaviour, health and diseases, genetics, census and surveys, and conservation. We will put together a diverse programme with interesting presentations and cordially invite you to also present your research topic at the meeting. In addition, there will be plenty of time for questions, discussions and exchange.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 10th meeting of the European Hedgehog Research Group in Berlin in January 2025!
Registration:
Participation fee: 290 Euro
Participation in the two-day event will cost 290 Euro. The ticket is valid for both days (16th and 17th January 2025). One-day tickets are not available. The participation fee includes access to all lectures, the conference proceedings (available in digital form for download), coffee breaks and lunch on both days.

Registration is open until 1st January 2025 (midnight CET).
At the registration page, you can register for both the 10th Meeting of the European Hedgehog Research Group (16.-17.01.2025, in English) and the Exchange and Training Event for Hedgehog and Wildlife Care Stations (2. Austausch- und Weiterbildungsveranstaltung für Igel- und Wildtierpflegestationen, 18.-19.01.2025, in German). Tickets for the Exchange and Training Event cost 95 Euro for two days and 50 Euro for one day.
During the registration process, you can select the desired event in the menu. It is also possible to register for both events.
Call for abstracts:
We invite you to present your research at the 10th Meeting of the European Hedgehog Research Group. Contributions on all hedgehog species and on all aspects of hedgehog biology, such as ecology, behaviour, health and diseases, genetics, conservation, census and surveys, are welcome.
We welcome contributions for oral and poster presentations. Presentation and poster slots are limited.
The length of the talks will be determined later, depending on the total number of accepted talks.

In order to submit an abstract, you need to register for the meeting.
The meeting will be held in English, therefore all contributions should also be in English. Abstracts should not exceed 400 words. Upload your abstract using the following format: doc,docx. The document should not have more than 2 pages and the file size should not exceed 4.88 MB. Please use our abstract template for correctly formatting your submission.
The submission deadline is 11th November 2024, 11 a.m. (CET)
All abstracts will be reviewed by the conference scientific committee. Authors will receive notification, confirming whether their contribution has been accepted for presentation by 29th November 2024.
